Nature

Nature, getting grounded in nature, reset your mind, exercise, prayer, meditate, mental health, physical health

I think one of the most natural and undervalued methods of good physical and mental health is getting out in nature. I know this truly helps me and I still don't do it enough. When I take time for myself and immerse myself in nature, it is like hitting a reset button. Deep breaths and true stillness connects us with ourselves. It is a great time to think about what we are grateful for and to pray. Walking an easy pace for a while and then finding a place to rest for a moment is so therapeutic. The mind naturally drifts, and that's perfectly fine. I simply acknowledge when it happens and gently guide myself back to positive thoughts.

I believe that moments of intentional stillness with prayer, meditation, conversations with self and breath work also helps our body reset out of flight mode and helps our physical body too. When we slow down and are more intentional we overeat less, make better choices and the physical body is able to function more efficiently.
